The Infamous New York Legends Puts His Spin on the Ewing Focus

Ewing Athletics has partnered with legendary artist, producer, and lifelong Knick fan Havoc for a new take on one of the ‘90s greatest basketball shoes: the Ewing Focus. In keeping with the brand’s tradition of celebrating New York legends – EPMD, Capone-N-Noreaga, Big Pun, Onyx, and Big L to name a few – Ewing had to pay tribute to The Infamous.  

A big fan of the Knicks since the ‘80s, it was natural that Havoc and Ewing collaborated on the Focus. The shoe was originally worn by Patrick during the 1993 regular season and Playoffs – one of the best seasons of his career. The debut album Juvenile Hell released that same year bringing Havoc, one half of the duo Mobb Deep, into the headphones of rap fans all over the five boroughs. Havoc produced nearly all of the now truly infamous beats for Mobb Deep and has produced songs for legends including The Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Eminem, Method Man, and Raekwon. 

“Fly new design that’ll have you causing Havoc with every single step you take,” says Havoc. This Ewing Focus pays tribute to one of New York’s greatest with bold “HAVOC” lettering at the heels and a classic black/white colorway. The tongues flaunt “The Infamous...” in the classic Mobb script above the iconic Focus cross strap.
