Ewing X Yandel SL33 "Cayey"
Born in 1977 as Llandel Veguilla Malavé, the artist known as Yandel has a career that spans over 20 years. Yandel is considered one of the greatest reggaeton artists of all-time and has won numerous awards, both as a duo and a solo artist. His influence is immeasurable, and after 20 years, he shows no signs of slowing down, having recently signed a new deal with Warner Music Latina.
Introducing the Ewing x Yandel SL33 “Cayey”—our brand’s new low-top model, created in collaboration with Latin music icon Yandel. Inspired by Yandel’s birthplace, Cayey, Puerto Rico—a mountain town known for its famous twin peaks—the sneakers showcase a mix of premium materials. The upper includes beige leather and mesh, brown suede, green leather, and reflective paneling. Notable features include a lace lock, offering customers the option to wear the sneakers without lacing up, a custom twin peaks logo on the tongue incorporating the letter “Y,” and Yandel’s iconic logo on the heel.
The collaborative sneakers are packaged in a special box with an English and Spanish comic printed on the inside, continuing the story introduced with their first shoe. Like our previous collab, a flag of Puerto Rico proudly graces the wrapping paper, and each pair comes with a custom Ewing x Yandel straw bag, celebrating the artist's Latin roots.
This release signifies a new era for the brand, as this low-top model honors the pastwhile paving the way for the future.
