CORMEGA AND EWING ATHLETICS COLLABORATE ON SECOND SNEAKER
Cormega is perhaps the most criminally underrated rapper of the last 20 years and he is more than just a collaborator to us ̶ he is a long-time champion of the Ewing brand. In 2017, Cormega connected with Ewing Athletics to release his first sneaker, the 33 HI ‘Cormega’. After a launch event at Privilege NYC and an instant sell-out online, fans have been asking Ewing Athletics for a sequel. Finally, that shoe has arrived.
With Cormega’s fans clamoring and new music just weeks away (shouts to Havoc and Large Professor), it was the perfect time to release this latest Ewing Athletics collaboration. “Green is inspiring, grey is sophistication and seriousness,” says Mega. “I considered doing another 33 HI but the Sport Lite is sleeker.”
Equipped with premium grey suede uppers, full-length EVA midsoles, and bright green translucent outsoles, the Cormega Sport Lite is an homage to the first shoe. This one proudly flaunts Cormega’s signature where Patrick Ewing’s would usually be and offers a crisp tonal look for fall that is sure to break necks.
After shoes with Drink Champs and Death Row Records, this latest collaborative project is another gem for fans of real hip-hop and sneakers. Join us for the release event at Privilege NYC on September 28 ̶ Cormega will be in-store to meet fans and the first 100 pairs purchased will come in a signed box.
Pricing: The Cormega Sport Lite releases on September 28 for $130 exclusively at EwingAthletics.com in sizes 5-16.
